We always like to provide nibbles for our meeting – just something to keep us going. If you look closely, you’ll see the snack bars I won at the Clyst Caring Coffee Morning! Kate

Thank you to everyone who came to our meetings on Friday 22nd November – we had a brilliant turnout and the hall was packed, despite the torrential rain!

We were delighted that Councillors Hilary Ackland and David Harvey were able to come to the morning meeting to discuss some of the options to tackle the huge problems residents are experiencing along both Church Hill and Park Lane. Apparently Church Hill is likely to be closed for the duration of the development – news that did not reassure anyone. We are supporting the Pinhoe Forum who are applying to Exeter City Council for permission to develop a Neighbourhood Plan for Pinhoe – visit www.pinhoe.org for further information and to join the group.

Meanwhile, please register your complaints on the Devon County Council website by clicking here > https://www.devon.gov.uk/roadsandtransport/report-a-problem/

Thanks to Tony and his colleague from Galliford Try, along with Lesley from LiveWest, who updated us all on their development plans for Pinhoe Quarry. With a firm commitment not to remove any existing footpaths, Galliford Try provided large boards for scrutiny of their plans – please contact us if you missed the meeting and would like to see them.

The warmest of thanks to Jenny Beesley for bringing some of the amazing archive from Pinhoe Guides who are celebrating their 100th anniversary next year. Here’s a pic of Jenny looking through one of the registers with her Mum, Mrs Pat Peek and Anne

Thanks also to our Vice-Chair Chris Wiseman who sourced the Tithe Map for Pinhoe, which Ebbie printed out for us as a huge poster – it’s a fascinating document, with details of all the tracks and fields. This will be our starting resource for the Pinhoe Parish Map.

And we can confirm we are going ahead with a 2020 calendar of Pinhoe – then and now. Thank you to everyone for bringing photos for consideration. We have made a brilliant selection – please contact us to reserve your copy, there will be a limited edition this year: £6 each or £10 for two copies

We remain really grateful to the Hall Church for the use of their welcoming space.
