Local elections are really boring.

The same old councillors from the same old parties, say the same old things and fail to achieve the same old goals.  Nobody votes in local elections with any passion because they don’t see any passion from their candidates.

For a long time I’ve looked on, disheartened and done nothing about it.  But I’m a Father now.  I’ve got three small children and another one on the way.  I can’t stand back and see bad decisions made about the beautiful area we live in.  Like you, I want this to be the best place for my family to live.

It’s time to show some ambition, some determination, some enthusiasm.  Now, people tell me I can’t get elected because nobody in East Devon votes Labour but I don’t believe that.  It’s true that if I stood as a candidate for another party, I’d stand a much better chance of winning but that’s not who I am.  Elections shouldn’t be about the colour of your rosette, they should be about the contents of your character.  So when you look at me and the other Labour candidates on this page, remember that this isn’t the easy route.  If we’re prepared to stand as Labour and co-operative party candidates then we must really want this because nobody is going to gift election wins to us.

I’ll fight for your vote, I’ll fight for this seat and if elected I will fight every day to improve the lives of people in Exmouth, Exton, Lympstone and Woodbury.
