Trews Weir is one of 29 priority areas identified by the Government for funding, with £1.9 million being given for repairs. This is alongside £224k for flood defences and £150k for property-level resilience. 

So many people living along the river in our part of the city raise Trews Weir as a concern and Steve Race MP has been communicating this with Ministers and the Environment Agency to secure this funding.
